Actually a Volvo wagon would make a decent hunt vehicle. Ol' Butch and I helped a grad student in Maine capture woodcock broods for a genetics study. She drove an old Volvo wagon -- it handled the back roads well and had plenty of room for dogs & gear.
This is a weird photo. These folks appear to be loading up to... go hunting? But guns aren't cased. Or they're at their pre-hunt meeting spot? On the preserve I'd guess. Dinner wear, no orange.
Or maybe it's about something else. The link title may be a clue -- gawk 'er assets.
I hate to admit that I have hunted and fished out of a Volvo wagon and a Volvo sedan plenty(we have had two wagons and one sedan). Not too High Life of me you quip? Quite Cabin Boy? Well, it did the job. I hauled home more than a few birds and fish (but no deer, bear, or moose)in those beautiful beasts. And I am not alone...see http://www.acc.umu.se/~widmark/lwvolvo.html
Don't forget, Volvo makes a hell of a nice range of boat motors for fishing, if that is of interest to any one on this blog still involved in blood sports of any kind. ;)
Well I'll be nicker'd! I was leaning toward a story of those 3 guys going +4 in a hockey game, and their reward being a trip to the estate for a poas shoot.
Not a speck of mud or blood on those treads, those threads, those paws. So beautiful. So not.
ReplyDeletewhat's a plus four?
ReplyDeletewho the hell hunts out of a Volvo?
ReplyDeleteMy name is Volvo and my game bag is empty
