and that's why they call it huntin'
Here is a shot of how Keith's game strap looks hanging from his porch after the last weekend hunting ducks.
I really hate it when Jim tells my friends how badly my hunt went and ruins my ability to *expound* on the many other fine merits of an outing that don't include butchery.
"I have been surprised to consider that the only obvious employment, except wood-chopping, ice-cutting, or the like business, which ever to my knowledge detained at Lake Cayuga for a whole half-day any of my fellow-citizens, whether fathers or children of the town, with just one exception, was waterfowling. Commonly they did not think that they were lucky, or well paid for their time, unless they got a long string of ducks, though they had the opportunity of seeing the lake all the while."
