grous•ers 1. Persons who hunt, trap, or pursue various plump, chickenlike game birds of the family Tetraonidae, chiefly of the Northern Hemisphere and having mottled brown or grayish plumage. 2. Complainers, or grumblers, and those prone to general ranting. 3. A number of “smart guys who hunt” and their generally smarter companions.

Looks like a good begining! I take it that you and Mike O spent the first weekend of Goose season on the blind rather than hunting. Did Eric join in? Sorry I couldn't show up with having to do my domestic chores before the big birthday party and all. Oh well I too got quite a bit done this weekend and I soon hope to be able to Join you in Double Black. Thanks for all the work.
Actually Eric was the GC on this project. Mike-o was probably golfing, getting his hand-eye coordination together before the opener... :)
Looking forward to seeing many if not all Grousers at one point or other in Double Black II this season.
Keith, you're clearly applying your developing design and construction skills. I am going to aspire to two visits this year. One in late October, the other in January.
A request. Would you mind adding my children's fishing missive, Killy the Mommy, to either the fishing archive or a new "children's fishing" archive? Thank you oh blog master.
Pete,
as always, ya'll are welcome any time.
Re archive labels, I didn't mean to discriminate...just testing out the new feature; now I need to go through a couple of years worth of posts and label em, startin with yours.
You are so accomodating! We'll see you in three weeks. I have my fingers crossed hoping that the old dogges will be able to make yet another Black Lake pilgrimage.
