Wow Dr. Bill! Thanks. Makes me feel warm, fuzzy and... lost. I anxiously await the north is north stories of New York's opening day.
Can only report a doe for opening day. However, it was my first kill with my new (to me) deer gun. I have finally retired the bolt-action Geha (see http://tidball.blogspot.com/search/label/geha)and am now sporting a nice used Ithaca Deer -Slayer II (Christmas gift from Mo-Mo last year) with a rifled barrel and scope. Definitely slays deer.
