SPRING TIME DUCKS

Just like the snow geese the ducks have shown up in large numbers on the way back up north. It is incredible to watch all these birds to bad there is not a spring season. I got a few pictures of some of these birds as they were taunting and teasing Nick and myself thought you might enjoy them, keeps me looking foward to next fall. Can you identify the two ducks in the last picture?

Eric,
Actualy I can identify all 4 ducks as they are 2 males and 2 females of the species, you made this one way to easy. Before I answer and ruin the contest for everyone else, what kind of a prize is being offered for the first correct answer?

JT, are you picking on me about my past inability to properly perform spell check before placing a post?

What, no takers on Eric's contest? What about all the effort in symetry that he put into this? OK here goes, picture #1 is a perfectly balanced picture of 5 drakes and 5 hens of 2 different species of waterfowl. There are both Mallards and Pintails in this evenly balanced picture, Nice shot Eric!
Picture #2 was not as balanced in both species. While there are 2 drake Mallards and 2 hen Mallards there is only 1 hen pintail to the 2 drake pintails shown. I imagine the other hen is close by somewheres.
Picture #3 is as clear as the nose on your face. Using that as a clue we can of course see that this is a nicely balanced picture of 2 hen and 2 drake dabblers of the "shoveling" veriety. The drakes are in beautifull plumage but lets not overlook the fine detail on the tips of the feathers of the hen. Nice pictures Eric! Now for the real test of your observational skills. There are key features in this photo that identify the secret location that these photos were taken from. #1- name the location that these migratory waterfowl were photographed and #2- name the key items in the photo that lead you to that conclusion. Good Luck!

Speaking of ducks (and thereby trying to wing in a topic here that isn't actually pending), would some kind soul post a new thread on "youth shotguns"? I'd like to pose a query on them here, but I'm trespassing on the thread to do.

My profuse apologies for so inappropriately intruding on this thread to bring it up.
