One more day

Last day of deer (shotgun) and duck (first split) tomorrow in Western New York. Good luck to all in pursuit.

40 mph west wind... nothing moving, not deer, few ducks. Woke up today to a totally frozen Cayuga Lake (north end)...

I will go out w/ the muzzleloader Wed and see what's shakin'.

Wow, you folks have late deer seasons. Ours have been closed for awhile, although some elk areas are still open.

Lots of ducks and geese out here on the western most edge of the Central flyway. I'm not having much luck getting any, however. With a cold front coming through here, things might be stirred up a bit for this weekend, which might be fun.

Go get'em Yeoman. Our second split of the waterfowl season opens after Christmas for two short maniacal weeks.

Will one of you smart folks please to a post Waterfowl After Action Report here on The Best Non Toxic Shot?

Inquiring minds, who still miss the old days of lead shot, want your opinions.

On the ongoing season here, we went out today, just in advance of The Big Cold Front. Hurricane force winds, and few ducks. We got exactly one. I expected to see a lot more, but it looks like the locals left, and the Canadians haven't arrived.
