Heroes of Sporting Art, Part Two

These were originally titled "Bad Luck" and "Good Luck."

Somehow, I've always thought of them as "Kleinpuppy at Black Lake" and "Cabin Boy and Mike O'Connor at Black Lake."

Funny how the mind works.

The artist again is of course A. B. Frost.

Sheesh, why do I have to be the one who never has any ducks to take home? Ok, maybe there's an historical basis for this reference, but you don't have to rub it in.

Not that I'm bitter about it. Nope, I'm not bitter. I'm not going to let you get under my skin.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure where the dumb moniker "Kleinpuppy" came from, but I can only hope that you're more creative with your interview seminar.

what's this talk of an interview seminar -- hypothetical or real? Is el jefe really trying for employment???
Now that you mention it, where DID this dumb monkey we know as Kleinpuppy come from anyway? Always thought you were from MA, no?

what I'd really like is some feedback on my poetic efforts at "Punchline in search of its Joke, Part One" . . . .

Jobs for poets, now that's what I'm aiming for.
